This season marks the first Taipei Fashion Week following the Covid-19 pandemic and today, 14th October 2022, the Taiwanese Ministry kicks off the weeks events with a catwalk show featuring 5 collections presented by Taiwanese designers in collaboration with Indigenous Tribal Artists. The Ministry of Culture in Taiwan sees heritage preservation as a necessity, with goals to protect our culture whilst fostering creativity:
"We believe in understanding our past to build a better world for the future generation."
SS23 Taipei Fashion Week also coincides with the reopening of the country for international visitors, with international press and guests set to be in attendance and have the chance to enjoy this celebration of Taiwanese culture and design.
